Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic Unit

This position is auto-offer. The role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Orthopedic Unit, specifically focusing on medical-surgical care for orthopedic patients. There are 4 openings available.

Shift: Nights, 1900-0700
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours
Assignment Length: 13-26 weeks
Weekend Hours: Required as needed, with every other weekend expected
Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

Current RN License, meeting the criteria for licensure in the state
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital experience
Ability to manage cardiac drips and operate an EKG machine
Must be able to float to other Med Surg units as needed

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 18 (Unit Expansion)
Equipment: Standard nursing equipment specific to the orthopedic unit
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC, experience highly preferred

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Responsibilities will include monitoring and coordinating care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and care.
