Composite Technician II (Straight Flight)

Responsibilities Assemble major structure assemblies. Perform minor part‑fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures. Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate changes into the structure. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least 2 years of relevant experience in structure assembly or a related field. Familiarity with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals; ability to install according to drawings. Experience installing fasteners such as rivets and hi‑locks. Basic understanding of airframe corrosion removal and refinishing. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Knowledge of Maintenance Manual Libraries, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, Airworthiness Directives, technical orders, schematics, and blueprints. Ability to work various shifts, including overtime if necessary. Preferred Qualifications FAA CRS 145 Repair Station experience. Familiarity with GOPS (Ground Operating Procedures) and DCMA requirements. Background in General and/or Corporate Aviation. Experience with maintenance tracking database software such as CAMP Systems, Corridor, Cescom, CMP, or AvTrak. Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible for required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
