Ambulatory RN- Allergy Clinic

Overview 1.0 FTE, 40 hrs/week Mon‑Fri, 8:00‑16:30 with occasional later hours on Mondays (until 17:45) and Tuesdays (until 18:30). Flex time may be used to avoid overtime as clinic needs allow. Job Description Summary Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as RN assists patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Essential Functions Provides nursing care using a family‑centered approach. Assesses individualized patient needs and plans care. Implements, educates, and evaluates care using evidence‑based practices. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy requirements. Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure smooth clinic flow, addressing patient/parent concerns and achieving positive patient and family outcomes. Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding quality improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and reporting updates back to staff. Education Requirement Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing school is required. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred, and completion of a BSN within five years of the start date is required. Licensure Requirement Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. Certifications Not specified. Experience Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred. Physical Requirements Occasionally: biohazard waste handling, climbing stairs or ladder, color vision, driving motor vehicles (work required), electricity, fume/gases/vapors, lifting/carrying 41‑60 lbs, loud noises, machinery, power tools, pushing/pulling 100 lbs or greater with assistance, pushing/pulling 61‑100 lbs. Frequent: bend/twist, blood and/or bodily fluids, chemicals/medications, communicable diseases/pathogens, depth perception, flexing/extending the neck, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning, patient equipment), peripheral vision, pushing/pulling 0‑25 lbs, 26‑40 lbs, 41‑60 lbs, reaching above shoulder, sitting, squatting/kneeling. Continuously: audible speech, computer skills, decision making, hearing acuity, interpreting data, lifting/carrying 0‑10 lbs, 11‑20 lbs, 21‑40 lbs, problem solving, repetitive hand/arm use, standing, walking.
