This is a field-based mechanic role supporting active job sites across the Midwest during the busy asphalt season, with a structured transition into a Kansas City shop role during the winter months.

How the Role Works

• Operate out of a fully equipped take-home service truck
• Travel to job sites across the Midwest during asphalt season (approx. 7–8 months)
• Handle repairs and maintenance directly in the field
• Transition to a Kansas City shop-based role during the winter/off-season

What to Expect

• Travel on short notice as job site needs change
• Overtime is expected and consistent during peak season
• Field-based work most of the year, with more predictable shop work in winter
• A fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts operations

Equipment You’ll Work On

• Asphalt and paving equipment
• Loaders, rollers, skid steers
• Diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a heavy equipment or field mechanic
• Strong troubleshooting ability and comfort working independently
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours during peak season
• Reliable and self-directed work style

Licensing Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL as needed for the role
• Candidates who currently hold a CDL are strongly preferred
