\n A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a fellowship-trained (or similarly experienced) Breast Surgical Oncologist to join a thriving multidisciplinary cancer team in a newly built cancer center located just 45 minutes from Portland, Maine.

\n This is an exceptional opportunity to become the primary breast surgical oncologist serving Maines second-largest urban population, with an extensive referral network that includes surrounding rural communities.

\n * Fellowship-trained Breast Surgical Oncology preferred
\n * Primary breast surgical oncologist for a large regional service area
\n * Newly constructed, state-of-the-art cancer center
\n * Established multidisciplinary cancer program

\n Practice Details

\n * Approximately 175 new breast cancer patients annually
\n * Current operative volume of approximately 275 surgical cases per year
\n * Robust support from an experienced multidisciplinary oncology team

\n Multidisciplinary Team Includes

\n * 3 Medical Oncologists
\n * 2 Radiation Oncologists
\n * Comprehensive Breast Imaging Department
\n    * Approximately 15,000 mammograms annually
\n    * Breast MRI available on-site
\n * 2 Plastic Surgeons
\n * Lymphedema-certified Physical and Occupational Therapists

\n Dedicated Breast Surgery Support Staff

\n * 2 Front Desk Coordinators
\n * 2 Medical Assistants
\n * Surgical Scheduler
\n * Clinic Nurse
\n * Nurse Navigator
\n * Office-Based Nurse Practitioner
\n * Per-Diem Physician Assistant for Surgical Assistance

\n Advanced Surgical Resources

\n * Same-day implant-based breast reconstruction
\n * Nuclear medicine support for lymph node biopsies
\n * Intraoperative specimen radiography

Pay Transparency 

\n

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation, and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $423,000 to $483,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.

\n * MD or DO
\n * Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery
\n * Fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology preferred
\n * Eligible for medical licensure in Maine
