Veterinary Technician/Assistant
NVA General Practice
Overview Join to apply for the Veterinary Technician/Assistant role at NVA General Practice . The veterinary technician/assistant position involves supporting Doctors in the exam area. It requires a pleasant and cheerful personality due to extensive client contact, attention to cleanliness and sterilization, and foundational knowledge of basic animal care, obedience, and preventative care. Responsibilities Receiving/discharging clients Communicates necessary information to Doctors Completes patient file notes Answers Questions About Care And Prevention Animal nail trimming Handing out new puppy and kitten packets Filling prescriptions Drawing blood Processing lab work Assisting Doctors and Veterinary Technicians Some heavy lifting Cleaning up after animals, floors, cages, runs, bathing Feeding and watering animals Giving medications Monitor anesthesia Perform dental procedures Inserts tracheal tubes Qualifications / Requirements Thorough knowledge of basic animal care, obedience, and preventative care Attention to cleanliness and sterilization Ability to collect information for Doctors regarding patients Comfort in a fast-paced clinical environment Job Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Health Care Provider Industries: Veterinary Services #J-18808-Ljbffr NVA General Practice
