Quality Assurance Coordinator

Our client, a leading specialty chemical manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Coordinator to join their team. As a Quality Coordinator, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting Production, Operations, Shipping & Receiving, and Quality Assurance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Coordinator- 3plus months Contract

Location: Lake Charles, LA

Pay Range: $22-$26/hr

What's the Job?

• Review and authorize product releases while ensuring compliance with quality standards and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections, quality walks, housekeeping audits, and verify product specifications during manufacturing and repackaging operations.
• Participate in nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA activities, and maintain documentation within the quality management system.
• Assist with SOP creation, document control, data management, and quality reporting activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Sales, and Quality teams to support product quality, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP and/or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems; GMP experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with document control, quality investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Analytical or wet chemistry experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and wearing required PPE.
