What You'll Do

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions
• Assess residents' speech, language, and cognitive needs through evaluations and screenings
• Guide residents through therapy exercises and techniques tailored to their needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care
• Document therapy progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations
• Educate residents and staff on communication strategies and safety procedures
• Support residents in achieving their personal therapy goals

What You Need

• Valid, unrestricted license in speech-language pathology in Missouri
• Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, and laws
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing environment preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and residents
