Mainframe CICS System Administrator

Job Title: Mainframe CICS System Administrator Duration: 12+ Month (Potential extension) Location: Phoenix, AZ Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands‑on experience with Job Control Language (JCL) Deep understanding of Mainframe Operating Systems (z/OS) Proven experience in Mainframe Support and production operations Solid background in Systems Programming within a mainframe environment Experience with CICS system administration and support Knowledge of TSO/ISPF utilities, datasets, and mainframe tools Familiarity with batch scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control‑M, or equivalent) Experience with system performance monitoring and tuning Understanding of mainframe security frameworks (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with COBOL and CICS transaction processing Knowledge of DB2 for z/OS or IMS databases Exposure to mainframe modernization or cloud integration efforts Experience with automation and scripting in mainframe environments Familiarity with Workload Manager (WLM) and capacity planning #J-18808-Ljbffr Experis
