About the Position

Job Title: Telemetry Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 – 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: BLS ACLS Must pass Client Telemetry Test Description: General comments: This is a brand new unit designed to provide 24/7 telemetry monitoring for patients. The unit has a total of 10 beds with a patient ratio of 5:1. Staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 PCT. The type of equipment used in the unit includes telemetry devices. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requires working every other weekend. Shifts are for 12 hours. Floating to other like units may be necessary, or to the ED for telemetry holds if needed. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounding. Advanced skills needed include performing general Med/Surg telemetry procedures and the ability to draw labs. Dress code requires navy blue uniforms. Candidates will benefit from working in a new, technologically advanced environment with experienced staff. This position offers opportunities to further develop skills in telemetry nursing.
