Job Overview

Cumberland Christian School is seeking a highly organised and proactive Virtual Assistant to join our dedicated team on a Full-Time basis. Based in Vineland, New Jersey, our school provides a comprehensive Christian education for students from preschool through to high school, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence and spiritual growth. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to our faculty and staff, enabling them to focus on our core mission of nurturing the minds, hearts, and hands of our students for Christ. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from a home office while contributing to a vibrant and mission-driven educational community.

Responsibilities

As a Virtual Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our school's functions. Key responsibilities will include:

 

• Managing and organising calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments for school leadership and staff.
• Handling email correspondence and acting as a point of contact for enquiries from parents, staff, and external partners.
• Preparing, formatting, and proofreading documents, reports, newsletters, and presentations.
• Performing accurate data entry and maintaining up-to-date school records and databases with the utmost confidentiality.
• Assisting in the planning and coordination of virtual and in-person school events, meetings, and activities.
• Providing general administrative support to various departments as required.
• Upholding the Christian values and professional standards of Cumberland Christian School in all communications.

Qualifications

We are looking for a professional who is aligned with our school's mission and possesses the following qualifications:

 

• Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a similar administrative role.
• Exceptional organisational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with strong attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other standard office software.
• The ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• A high level of discretion and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience working within an educational or non-profit environment is desirable but not essential.
