Job Description - Teacher 1 (Literacy) 20029995 (26000514) Teacher 1 (Literacy) 20029995 (26000514) Organization Rehabilitation & Correction - Southeast Correctional Institution Agency Contact: Personnel Director View email address on click.appcast.io Work Location Southeastern Correctional Inst, 5900 BIS Road, Lancaster 43130 Primary Location United States of America – Ohio – Fairfield County – Lancaster Schedule Full‑time Union OEA/Scope Primary Job Skill Education Compensation $27.53 per hour Responsibilities Provides instruction in basic education needs (reading, writing, mathematics) Assesses educational needs of inmates Develops lesson plans and individual assignments Provides instruction and individual assistance Administers, scores, and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators Maintains discipline and/or security Counsels students concerning performance, behavior, and personal problems Attends meetings as required Prepares records and reports (enrollment, grades, student progress) Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed Researches, selects, and recommends new teaching materials Attends in‑service training sessions and workshops for professional development Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Current Teacher Certificate appropriate for the grade level and area of specialization; Teacher 1, must also have a baccalaureate degree or less.
