Behavioral Health Nurse – Adult & Geriatric
Schedule: Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Shift Type: Nights - Shift Times: 18:45 – 07:15
Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36–48 hours per week
Minimum 2 years clinical experience required
MOAB certification required
BLS and/or CPI preferred
Experience with inpatient locked behavioral health care
Skills in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and behavior management
Experience with medication administration (antipsychotics, antidepressants, etc.)
Provide direct patient care in a locked inpatient setting, focusing on adults and geriatrics with various mental health diagnoses.
Engage in crisis intervention and management, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
Monitor patient vitals and health status, and administer medications as prescribed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement treatment plans.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Must complete 32 hours of orientation. Daily attendance required for the first week.
All requests for time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and could affect schedule compliance.
COVID-19 vaccine is not required; Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions only).
