Shift: Shift 8 – Overnight

Pay Range: $23.50 – $29.00/hour, based on experience

Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour

About Your Role:

As a Maintenance Technician I at Dollar Tree’s Distribution Center, you’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, building systems, machinery, and electrical/controls equipment. You’ll help ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Maintenance & Equipment Support:

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electrical/electronic systems

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, PLCs, motor drives (Servo and VFD), and external I/O devices

• Diagnose electrical problems using technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and diagnostic tools (multi-meter, laptop)

• Assist other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment

• Initiate and implement new procedures or designs to maintain equipment efficiency

• Maintain organized work area and promote a safe working environment within the Maintenance department

Documentation & Communication:

• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documentation according to established procedures

• Communicate technical issues effectively to associates, leadership, and suppliers to minimize equipment downtime

• Ensure workmanship meets the highest quality standards

Equipment Operation:

• Operate material handling equipment, battery-powered equipment, and other powered machinery safely

• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach while addressing technical issues

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment

• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate maintenance issues clearly to team members and leadership

• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Coursework, certification, or Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, electronic technology, or a related field

• Experience maintaining automated equipment in a distribution center or similar industrial environment

• Industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems

• PLC/PC troubleshooting or programming knowledge

• Experience troubleshooting industrial controls, PCs, or related control devices/networks
