Radiologic Technologist, Full-time, Variable Shift Adventist Health Castle, located in Kailua, is a leading healthcare provider in the O’ahu area. The organization operates a 160-bed hospital, eight medical offices, home care services, urgent cares, and additional health services throughout the island. Job Summary Operates x‑ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x‑ray equipment, and determines proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph. Education and Work Experience Associate’s Degree in radiologic technology (preferred) Licenses / Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT‑R) (required) Radiologic Technologist (RT) licensed in the state of practice (required in CA and HI) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy (required) Essential Functions (Responsibilities) Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Explains procedures to patients and answers questions. Prepares equipment for use as needed. Prepares examination rooms for patient exams. Positions patients for imaging exams. Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams. Produces diagnostic images. Documents exam information. Reports important information to the physician. Verifies exams on PACS. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. Organizational Requirements All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
