Registered Nurse Oncology

Oncology NurseProvide specialized nursing care to patients with complex medical oncology conditions, supporting their treatment and recovery in a high-acuity environment. This role requires advanced clinical skills and the ability to manage rapidly changing patient needs during shift work.Responsibilities:Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for side effects, ensuring safety and compliance with treatment protocols.Interpret cardiac arrhythmias and respond appropriately to emergent cardiac events.Provide respiratory care including management of trachs, chest tubes, AirVO, CPAP, and BiPAP devices.Assess patient conditions continuously, recognizing early signs of deterioration and prioritizing care during critical situations.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care, including end-of-life and hospice support.Communicate effectively with patients and families about treatment plans and clinical status.Qualifications:Hold a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.Possess prior experience in oncology nursing, preferably with complex medical populations.Demonstrate proficiency in chemotherapy administration and side effect management.Have STEP DOWN unit experience and ACLS certification (preferred).Be capable of interpreting complex cardiac arrhythmias and responding swiftly.Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in urgent situations.Benefits & Growth:Access to ongoing professional development and specialized training in oncology and critical care.Opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical setting.Benefits:Day 1 Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceTravel reimbursement for assignmentsPaid sick leave and additional valuable benefitsAccess to our $1,000 Inspire a Friend Referral ProgramWhy TactStaff?Choosing TactStaff means partnering with a team that understands the unique demands and rewards of Oncology.
