Position Summary Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, and assessment of economic trends and community needs. Responsibilities Model, enforce, and provide direction to Associates on proper CustomerMember service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints within company guidelines and standards. Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as community members. Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center. Analyze and interpret reports; implement and monitor asset protection and safety controls, safety operational and quality assurance reviews. Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and provide guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives. Direct Vision Center Associates in maintaining confidentiality of information and documentation. Consult with and educate members/customers; select products based on needs; obtain measurements; verify prescriptions; maintain confidential information; perform minor frame repair and maintain optical equipment. Support the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinate job‑related activities and assignments with key stakeholders; identify and communicate goals and objectives; build accountability and measure progress. Promote a culture of belonging; build high‑performing teams; attract and retain talent; develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition. Act with integrity, uphold Walmart values, and support regeneration initiatives. Deliver results with customer focus; apply EDLP and EDLC business models; make data‑driven decisions. Display curiosity, desire to learn, take calculated risks, and drive continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Completion of 2 or more years of college or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience or 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising associates. Benefits Competitive hourly wage range of $24.50 – $34.50 (may exceed minimum wage). Annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
