Our firm specializes in immigration removal proceedings and cases involving USCIS, DOS, and DOL, leveraging extensive immigration law expertise and strong litigation skills.As an Immigration Paralegal at Konare Law, you'll work closely with attorneys to support clients through their immigration journey. You'll manage immigration casework, keep clients informed, and help prepare legal filings and trial materials. Every step of the way, you'll play a vital role in helping clients feel supported and represented throughout their immigration legal process.ResponsibilitiesKeep immigration cases organized by maintaining files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, documenting actions and client communications, updating the file database, and confirming case status with attorneys.Keep clients informed through regular contact and updates on immigration case progress.Assist assigned attorneys with immigration litigation and trial preparation, particularly in removal proceedings.Maintain client confidence by safeguarding confidential client/attorney information.Attend all assigned client meetings, both in person and virtually.Track the status of immigration filings with USCIS, EOIR, DOS, and DOL and ensure timely follow-up.Prepare and draft motions, routine correspondence, and immigration filings with federal agencies and immigration courts; serve as a liaison to court personnel.Compile indexes, pleadings, exhibits, checklists, motions, and conduct legal research for immigration litigation proceedings.SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication.Active listening.Critical thinking.Complex problem solving.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Especially Word).Strong ability to multi-task effectively.Strong organization skills.Detailed oriented.Strict adherence to legal confidentiality requirements.QualificationsCandidate should be a motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and their legal team.Candidate must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced immigration law environment.Candidate should possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for serving immigrant clients and communities.Candidate must have excellent customer service skills.Candidate should have the willingness to cross-train for other job functions.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's Degree with two years of legal experience or associate degree with three years of legal experienceCertification: Paralegal Certificate (Preferred)Experience: Two years of immigration law experience and two years of customer service experience.Working for Konare Law:Join Our Vision, Experience the BenefitsHealth & WellnessHealth Insurance: We've got you covered! 90% of your premium is on us.Vision & Dental: Your sight and smile matter.
