Empower students and support their success by delivering essential speech and language therapy services in a rewarding school-based setting. This contract opportunity features a consistent schedule of 32 hours per week, ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Background and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Hold current ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or registration as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Experience or passion for working with pediatric students in school settings
- Familiarity with the development and execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment, intervention, and therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in line with district and state requirements
- Maintain thorough and timely session notes, progress reports, and required documentation
- Consult with teaching staff and parents to support classroom strategies and student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating therapy environment
