Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700-1930 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience and Post-Partum experience required License: Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Must have 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience. Must possess BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
