Architectural and Design Guidance

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.

Provide architectural and design guidance to ensure software solutions meet enterprise standards and performance expectations.
Contribute code when required to support critical releases, resolve blockers, or validate architectural patterns.
Conduct detailed code reviews and ensure adherence to security, maintainability, and accessibility standards.
Translate complex requirements into implementation plans and coordinate execution across team members.
Ensure organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into their work plans, products and services.
Form and lead one or more delivery teams of software engineers and supporting roles to meet delivery goals and quality standards.
Assign and monitor work, ensure balanced workloads, and maintain visibility into team capacity.
Provide continuous feedback and documented performance input to management on technical and behavioral contributions.
