Emergency Department Technician

Responsibilities The Nurse Aid in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed, non‑certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non‑critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurses in charge of the team or unit. Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter. Knowledge of medical terminology. Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred. Estimated wages for this role are $17.00 to $23.45 per hour, with the exact starting compensation determined at hiring based on factors such as skill set, experience, education and credentials.
