Lathe Machinist

Job Overview Small Company = Big Impact : 1st shift, $25-$33 per hour. We are a precision machine shop focused on quality lathe machining in a small shop with big potential. The Lathe Machinist role is responsible for producing precision‑machined components using CNC and manual lathe equipment. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and engine lathes to produce precision parts per engineering drawings and work instructions. Machine components such as bushings, bearings, sleeves, pins, shafts, and rings to tight tolerances and surface finish requirements. Perform contour, straight, taper, and form turning operations, including internal and external threading. Monitor part quality using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and thread gauges. Make tooling offsets and minor program adjustments as needed to maintain part quality. Inspect parts during and after production; document results per quality requirements. Work with hardened steels, alloy steels, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, and copper materials.
