Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist II performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures; calibrates and operates ultrasound equipment. Processes images and coordinates patient care with other patient services. Maintains patient records, keeps track of inventory, orders supplies and maintains proper working order of equipment. Will focus on infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.

Pay Range

Minimum $45.72 Midpoint $60.58 Maximum $75.43

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

Required: Minimum one (1) year of outpatient and/or acute care Ultrasound Technologist experience with six (6) months in a pediatric setting.

Preferred: One (1) year of acute care Ultrasound Technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.

Education

Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Sonography.

Licensure

Required: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered in one or more specialties; Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred: Advance certification for Pediatrics and/or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT) a plus.
