Job Details Job Location: Avflight Rochester – Rochester, NY 14624 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level: High School/GED Equivalent Salary Range: $17.00 – $20.00 hourly Job Shift: Any General Purpose of Job This position is responsible for arranging the warehouse, handling equipment, loading and unloading air cargo, and ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities Receives cargo/mail from and releases cargo to consignors, consignees, brokers, agents, truckers, etc., including checking for damage or tampering, counting, receipting, and loading and unloading cargo. Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions, and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo. Issue appropriate warehouse receipt or collect signed copy of delivery receipt. Perform daily equipment preventive maintenance and safety checks. Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets, and pallet jacks. Maintain a neat and orderly office and warehouse area, including removal of snow and ice from walkways and truck docks. Ensure the work area remains clean and report damaged or broken equipment as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years or older. Willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment. Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis. Ability to work efficiently under time constraints. Available to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must pass background check, pre‑employment drug test, and obtain security clearance. Authorized to work in the U.S. Valid driver’s license. Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis, perform repetitive tasks and motions such as bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and sustaining those positions for extended periods. Must have sufficient vision and the ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
