About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:30 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience, previous travel experience (at least 3 months), charge RN experience License: Vermont RN License or Compact Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: - Traveler must be willing to float to any unit within their scope of practice. - No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. - Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible. - Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. - Any/all scheduling requests must be included at the time of submission. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry. The nurse may be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse. The nurse will coordinate total nursing care for patients. Participation in patient and family teaching is expected. The nurse will provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting is essential. The nurse will work with an electronic medical record system. The nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 or 5. The average daily patient census is approximately 22. Required time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload. Requests for time off after submission will not be approved. The traveler must have charge RN experience. The ability to float between Acute Rehabilitation and Med Surg units is required. Perm address must be included in the traveler profile. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Please note the attendance policy regarding call-offs; a contract may be terminated after three call-offs. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required as necessary.
