Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Evening Shift

Responsibilities The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders. Hours: 3pm to 11pm, 5 shifts per week, rotating weekends. Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. For more information, please visit our website at Qualifications Requirements: Education: Graduate from a Vocational School of Nursing Accredited by the State Board of Nursing. Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred. Licensure: Licensed to practice Vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) including restraint and seclusion policies and Verbal De‑escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
