We are seeking a skilled and dependable  Smog Technician to perform vehicle emissions inspections and smog checks in accordance with state regulations. The ideal candidate has strong automotive knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing accurate, honest, and friendly service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle emissions inspections and smog tests according to applicable state regulations.
• Inspect vehicles and operate emissions testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Accurately document and submit inspection results through required state systems.
• Diagnose basic emissions-related issues and communicate findings to customers.
• Explain test results, required repairs, and available options in a clear and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Valid Smog Technician/Inspector license (State of California) is required
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• 10 years of experience as a licensed SMOG Technician is preferred
• Ability to use scan tools, emissions testing equipment, and basic computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
