Details IMC MedSurgical unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes a mix of diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities 13-week assignment Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Requirements Active RN license in TX or compact Current BLS certification (AHA) required Current ACLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty required BSN preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for this travel assignment First-time travelers may be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-743915.
