Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor Certificate (092) Advanced degree in educational administration, educational leadership, or a related field Minimum of five years of successful teaching or other relevant certified educational experience; previous school leadership experience preferred Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and student learning Demonstrated understanding of elementary-aged students and their academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development Knowledge of restorative practices and approaches to positive school climate Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational skills Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, families, faculty, staff, and administrators Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable school environment Proficiency with student information systems and educational technology Reports to: Building Principal Terms of Employment: As established by the contract between the Weston Board of Education and the Weston Administrators' Association.
