Hackensack Public School School MonitorSchool Monitor - Middle SchoolJob Summary:Implement high standards of conduct to foster a nurturing and trusting school environment. Develop and implement discipline and character education plans that support code of conduct. Support and address student attendance concerns. Confer with students and parents on discipline matters, with administrator guidance. Collaborate with teachers to support school learning and achievement goals. Address the improvement of student discipline and attendance. Collaborate with administration and other deans to ensure coordination with all stakeholders. Assist in developing and administering practices dealing with building and grounds control and security. Utilize technology effectively. Document and track student conduct within the student data management system.Qualifications:Prior experience in a similar position preferred. Prior teaching experience a plus. Knowledge of ABR Act and effective discipline strategies. Excellent written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with colleagues. Bilingual Spanish a plus.Working Conditions:10 Month Position, Middle School Salary: Negotiable (This is not a recognized job title by NJDOE and falls outside the scope of the HBOE/HEA Agreement)Application Procedure:Apply Online via Frontline/AppliTrack.
