Job Summary:
Operating Room Specialist in the Open Heart specialty in Redding, California. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care within the facilitys surgical department. The position requires collaboration with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes during complex cardiac procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts with 10-hour shifts beginning at 6:30 pm, with minimum weekly hours of 40.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, BLS certification, COVID-19 vaccination certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room specialty, no specific degree requirement, and open to candidates with or without prior travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Open Heart (cardiothoracic) surgeries preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit notes specify patient ratios of 1 to 1, with EMR systems utilizing Cerner Surginet.
  • Charge nurse reports to the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Call requirements include 1 to 2 weeknights per week and approximately 1 weekend call per month, from end of shift Friday at 6:30 am to Monday at 6:30 am.
  • Scrubs are provided by the hospital.
  • Shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours, with the start times of 6:30 am, 9 am, or 10:45 am.
  • Float is not applicable for this position.
  • Certifications required include BLS and COVID vaccine.
