Custodian

Are you skilled in providing custodial support? The Archdiocese of Milwaukee-Seminary- located in St. Francis, WI, has an opening for a custodian. Position Responsibilities: Provide room setup and takedown Set up A/V equipment for meetings and events and test equipment Clean meeting rooms before and after meetings Perform miscellaneous cleaning as needed due to spills, weather, etc. Dispose of waste and recycling Assist in maintaining supplies Perform seasonal snow removal and other outside work Clean-up of outside walkway, courtyard, and building upkeep as assigned Assist maintenance staff Provide assistance to office employees and leaders Skills and Experience: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Basic math skills Ability to use small hand tools and cleaning supplies Ability to follow sanitation procedures Works well with others Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision and attention to detail Must have a strong work ethic High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Custodial or janitorial experience preferred Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, bending, twisting while holding tools or work supplies and equipment Most work is indoors with some work outdoors Some evening and weekend work required Occasionally-lift up to 75 pounds, use of ladders and scaffolding Regularly-lift carry and move up to 50 pounds Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures in an outside environment Compensation and Benefits: The position is a full-time (40 hours per week), salaried position working in-person at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Pastoral Center.
