Medical Assistant - Outpatient Specialty Practice Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday 6 Month Contact with the possibility of being hired permanently. NurSelect is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant for a full-time opportunity with a well-established outpatient specialty practice in Central Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment with direct patient interaction, procedural support, and strong collaboration with physicians and nursing staff. Team-oriented clinical environment Responsibilities 1. Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures 2. Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints 3. Assist physicians during exams and office procedures 4. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing 5. Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians 6. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and assist with first aid procedures 7. Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care 8. Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems 9. Coordinate appointments, patient flow, and room turnover 10. Assist with surgical/procedural room setup 11. Support prescription management and patient record requests 12. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and healthcare regulations Qualifications 1. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience required 2. Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred 3. Minimum 6 months of physician office experience preferred 4. Specialty clinic or urology experience strongly preferred 5. Experience with EMR systems required 6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 7. Excellent communication and patient service skills 8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following are highly encouraged to apply: 1. Phlebotomy 2. EKGs 3.
