Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and data-minded AI/ML Engineer to join our core engineering cell under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across Argentina and Uruguay. In this high-impact, foundational role, you will bridge the intersection of multi-agent software orchestration, robust web backend systems, and automated data pipelines. Shifting completely away from non-technical text copywriting loop routines, standalone graphics styling, or basic office spreadsheet administration, you will lead an active Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector space telemetry, and structured data extraction laboratory. This position requires a full-stack capable engineer with 3+ years of professional history who codes intelligent workflows fluidly natively using AI Engineer and backend mechanisms, orchestrates agent nodes via LangGraph or LangChain, structures document ingestion rules for noisy files, instruments evaluation metrics using LangSmith or Langfuse, and manages production model cost boundaries confidently to scale enterprise intelligence frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Agent Workflow Governance: Prototype, architect, and deploy complex, multi-step AI orchestration engines with strict evaluation parameters, fallback boundaries, and cost controls natively utilizing AI Engineer frameworks.
• Backend System Engineering: Design, scale, and maintain secure backend services, multi-tenant APIs, and high-performance data processing layers using Node.js and Python .
• RAG & Vector Database Instrumentation: Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems and persistent memory structures via vector engines like Pinecone or Turbopuffer , engineering custom indexing rules.
• AI Evaluation & Monitoring Pipelines: Integrate production-grade monitoring systems (such as LangSmith, Langfuse, or MLflow ) to manage regression tracking, live operational telemetry, and prompt versioning.
• Document Ingestion & Extraction: Formulate robust chunking patterns and structured extraction pipelines to ingest, normalize, and reason over noisy, unstructured insurance PDF forms and claims files.
• Cross-Functional Architecture Ownership: Collaborate closely with internal Product, Design, and Client teams to translate abstract customer benefits workflows into maintainable, low-latency code deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 3+ years of proven professional history operating inside a Software Engineering, AI/ML Developer, Full-Stack Engineer, or identical technical systems capacity.
• Expert Programming Stack Fluency: Deep, hands-on production history building complex web backend systems natively utilizing Node.js and Python .
• Demonstrated experience integrating large language models (LLMs) into real-world applications using orchestration tools like LangGraph, LangChain, or LlamaIndex along with model SDKs (OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Practical command over vector database engineering, including advanced data retrieval mapping, chunking, and index cost-performance tradeoff management.
• Location Context: Position operates under remote geographic guidelines open exclusively to qualified AI engineers residing permanently within Argentina or Uruguay .

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience or structural domain familiarity operating inside the insurance, healthcare technology, or financial services sectors.
• Familiarity running relational storage tiers at scale (such as MySQL configurations) or deploying nodes inside AWS cloud networks.
• Exposure to core frontend JavaScript frameworks, enabling fluid interaction with user-facing interface cells.
