Pediatric Gastroenterologist

A well-established and growing pediatric specialty practice in the Tampa Bay region is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Bilingual (English/Spanish) Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our team. You will provide exceptional, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders across one of Florida's most vibrant and diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat digestive, liver, pancreatic, and nutritional diseases in children and adolescents.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions, including:
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis)
• Celiac disease
• Chronic constipation
• Food allergies and intolerances
• Liver and pancreatic disorders, including exocrine pancreatic insufficiency
• Feeding and nutritional disorders
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and biopsies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families about disease management, nutrition, and preventive care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated, family-centered care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and clinical education.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Active (or eligibility for) a Florida medical license.
• Fluency in English and Spanish strongly preferred, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
