Scientist, Large Molecule Analytical (On-site)

Merck's Research & Development Division seeks a Scientist to develop and qualify analytical methods for biologic drug substances and products. The role involves solving complex analytical problems across biology, chemistry, and informatics while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, and implement analytical methods for monoclonal and complex therapeutic proteins
- Execute routine laboratory experiments with data interpretation and technical troubleshooting
- Manage project deliverables and prioritize work within timelines with appropriate supervision
- Author and review internal technical reports and regulatory filing sections
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to solve complex analytical problems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with 3+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, or Master's degree
- Laboratory experience with ability to develop and apply scientific principles
- Proficiency in UPLC/HPLC analysis of biologics and CE techniques
- Knowledge of separations science fundamentals and analytical method troubleshooting
- Experience with immunoassays, molecular biology techniques, and biologic characterization
- Strong written and oral communication skills with cross-functional collaboration experience
- Ability to author technical reports and regulatory documentation
Compensation: $87,300–$137,400 base
