Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: - Postop surgical care and general Med-Surg care.

Unit Details: - Nurse: patient ratios are 1:4-5 on 12 hr days and 1:5-6 on 12 hr nights. - Common diagnoses/types of patients: wide variety of medical-surgical patients, postoperative orthopedic cases, and trauma cases with fractures. - Uses CPAP and heated high flow as needed. - Uses house-wide telemetry pack monitors and Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend; for night shift, Friday/Saturday. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Travel RNs are first to float if needed; this happens occasionally to other Med-Surg floors.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
