Witness your virtual designs come to life just a few steps away on the assembly floor.ResponsibilitiesCreate and optimize RAPID code and RobotStudio simulations for seamless integration of ABB robots with master PLCs and facility-wide controls.Lead the complete lifecycle of custom machinery builds, including design, simulation, testing, and debugging.Set up initial electrical configurations, communication protocols, and software interfaces for ABB robotic systems and specialized tooling.Troubleshoot complex robotic operations, cycle time issues, and integration obstacles on-site and at client sites.Travel up to 30% globally for deployment, testing, and engineering support activities.Develop detailed technical documentation and system manuals for automation projects.RequirementsMinimum 5 years of programming experience with ABB robots, including at least 2 years specializing in RAPID code and RobotStudio.At least 2 years of practical PLC programming (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Studio 5000 or similar).Strong background in industrial motion control and safety systems (e.g., light curtains, safety relays).Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field (relevant hands-on experience may substitute for degree).Willingness to travel up to 30% globally with a valid U.S. Passport (or ability to obtain one).Living within a 45-minute commute of Waukesha County / Greater Milwaukee area.
