Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse for a surgical ICU position located at the medical facility. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients in a diverse surgical intensive care environment, including trauma, gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedics, neuro-spine procedures, transplant, vascular, and general surgeries. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team within a 20-bed surgical ICU setting.

Job Details

• Position: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse Surgical ICU
• Location: Medical facility
• Certifications and Education: RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS); preferred certifications include Critical Care Certification, trauma course, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system proficiency, ACLS.
• Experience: 0 years required; strong current surgical ICU experience preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, with scheduled dates of 9/14 and 9/28.
  • The position involves working weekends (3 out of every 6 weeks), with a call requirement of 2 AVL call shifts per 6-week schedule.
  • The unit has a diverse patient population receiving various surgical procedures.
  • Float rotation may be required to area of like skill set.
  • The call rate is set at a designated rate, with overtime at 1.25 times the base rate after 80 hours in a two-week pay period.
  • Previous employment within any Johns Hopkins facilities must be verified as per policy before employment offers.
