Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary practice in Clifton, New Jersey, seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to provide primary care for cats and dogs. You'll join a growing clinical team and work alongside the Founder and Chief Vet. The practice uses a membership model designed to make veterinary care more affordable and encourage families to seek help sooner. This creates more opportunities to focus on prevention, follow patients over time, and build lasting relationships with their owners.

Role Description and Responsibilities
You'll manage your own caseload and provide general practice care, including wellness visits, vaccinations, diagnostics, dentistry, and spay and neuter procedures. You'll investigate health concerns, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and explain options clearly so clients can make informed decisions about their pets' care. You'll help develop clinical protocols, support the veterinary assistants and wider team, and contribute your ideas as the practice grows. The role calls for thoughtful use of diagnostics and resources, compassionate communication, and a practical approach to helping pets receive the care they need. The practice is looking for a DVM who is licensed, or eligible for licensure, in New Jersey. At least two years of clinical experience is preferred.

Practice Details
The practice has digital X-ray, dental X-ray, IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment, and electronic records. Its services include unlimited visits, diagnostics, dental care through an annual plan, telehealth, and microchipping. The membership model has no copays. The practice is open Monday and Wednesday from 10 am to 7 pm, Tuesday and Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm, Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 8 pm. It is closed on Sundays.

Team
The team currently has one DVM and two support staff, with plans to grow. You'll have the opportunity to help shape a collaborative, compassionate approach to care as the team develops.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
