Position Summary Sprays surfaces of trucks, buses, vans or other vehicles assigned with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel‑coat, or lacquer, using a spray gun. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review repair estimates for painting instructions and create a plan to perform work. Provide proper tools and tool storage for performing assigned tasks. Disassemble and re‑assemble truck parts and accessories to access painted surfaces. Sand, prime and prep painted surfaces for painting. Operate air‑operated sanding and grinding equipment. Perform all taping and masking in a professional manner to ensure a quality and acceptable finished product. Identify surfaces that are paint ready before applying paint products. Receive proper training for applying paint products and understand paint‑mixing procedures. Operate pressurized spray equipment. Familiarize with safety equipment for painting, respirators, body protection, etc. Provide a quality and acceptable paint finish for all paint assignments. Other duties as assigned. Experience Minimum of two years related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
