Job Details: General Notes This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Purpose The Senior Outreach Program Coordinator will support the Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) (within the Institute for Military and Veteran Family Wellness) social media, digital communications, visual content, newsletters, and event promotion. Will work closely with VSN staff to take program information, events, and ideas and turn them into content that is useful and relevant to military and veteran-connected audiences. The position independently manages day-to-day communications projects, priorities, and deadlines. Responsibilities Create visual content for Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) programs, events, campaigns, and outreach including social media graphics, flyers, presentations, infographics, posters, short-form videos, and other digital or print materials. Capture and edit photo and video content as needed and keep materials consistent with the VSN brand. Coordinate and manage Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) social media accounts, including planning content, writing copy, creating and scheduling posts, publishing content, and responding to comments and messages. Manage what is performing well and adjust content based on audience response, platform trends, and VSN priorities. Maintain and produce Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) event calendars across social media, partner websites, and participant platforms. Work with program staff to keep event and registration information accurate and up to date. Promote upcoming events through VSN social channels and partner platforms to help increase awareness and participation. Coordinate and manage Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) newsletters. Gather updates from staff, organize content, write and edit copy, build and schedule newsletters, and coordinate review before distribution. Review basic email performance to see what is working and where content can improve. Attend Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) events, presentations, and outreach activities to capture photos, video, and other content for social media and marketing. Identify useful content opportunities while attending events and help tell the story of VSN's programs, partnerships, and community. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in field of work to be performed with at least 5 years responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination. Relevant professional experience in communications, marketing, social media, or related field. Experience managing social media accounts for an organization, business, or brand. Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for social media, email, and digital communications. Experience creating branded graphics and marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to work with staff across different programs and turn information and ideas into clear, audience-appropriate marketing content. Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in field of work to be performed with at least 3 years responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination. Experience with photography, videography, and/or video editing. Familiarity with military and veteran culture and experiences of military and veteran connected families (professional or personally). Salary Range $55,000 - $60,000 - depending on qualifications Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Ability for remote work within the state of Texas.
