A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our shipping/receiving operations, including scheduling, coordinating, and tracking shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience supervising a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Some of What You Will Do:

• Manage the shipping process in all modes of transport from start to finish, including scheduling, coordinating, and tracking shipments
• Ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and within budget
• Experience creating & managing Bill's of Lading
• Manage a team of shipping clerks and forklift operators, including training, scheduling, and monitoring performance
• Assist in developing and implementing shipping policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards
• Work closely with other departments, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure that customer needs are met
• Continuously analyze and optimize the shipping process to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and communicate status updates to customers and other stakeholders
• Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the shipping process
• Inventory management including overseeing cycle counts, discrepancy corrections, and year-end physical inventory.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree preferred or associate's degree and min of 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a proven track record of success
• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Data entry skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and will need to learn our ERP/CRM software.
• Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations and compliance requirements including the shipping of hazardous goods and Lithium batteries
• Proficiency in using shipping software and systems
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Small parcel shipping knowledge
• Ability to work overtime when required

Salary Range: $31.25-$38.47 per hour

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
