Pharmacist | Woodbridge, Virginia

A healthcare facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia is seeking an Outpatient Infusion Staff Pharmacist to support their cancer center operations. This position offers the possibility to transition from contract to permanent employment and starts as soon as possible. The role is based in an acute care hospital with a busy infusion service, providing an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment.


Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pharmacy operating hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify chemotherapy and infusion medication orders accurately and safely
• Collaborate closely with clinical teams to optimize patient care plans for outpatient oncology patients
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
• Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities within the infusion pharmacy setting
• Support daily operations alongside a team of 2-3 pharmacists and 3 pharmacy technicians

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia with current and active credentials
• Previous experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital settings, and chemotherapy preferred
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
