Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting managing a mixed patient population including ICU, sub-acute, and floor-status patients at ratios of 1:2 (ICU) and 1:4 (sub-acute)
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures including arterial line management, central line care, CRRT, chest tube insertion/removal, and procedural sedation
• Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and IV insulin protocols
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and specialized equipment including FloTrac/Vigileo and Arctic Sun
• Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias and ABGs; manage complex diagnoses including sepsis/septic shock, ARDS, renal failure, DKA, and multi-system organ failure
• Float occasionally to other inpatient units within scope on a rotational basis as needed to meet facility needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Ability to work every other weekend with a minimum of 13 weekend shifts
• Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale and TNCC certifications preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Familiarity with specialized ICU equipment including NxStage CRRT, Edwards EV1000 FloTrac, and Arctic Sun
