Warehouse Picker and Packer

Job Description

This full-time Warehouse Picker and Packer role runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. You will work in a fast-paced fulfillment center, performing physical tasks throughout the day while helping to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Pick items from inventory shelves according to order specifications with a high level of accuracy.
• Pack products securely and correctly to prepare them for shipment.
• Label packages clearly and prepare them for delivery according to shipping procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Perform quality checks on picked and packed orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and restocking of shelves as needed.
• Handle materials safely using tools such as pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Use RF scanners or similar devices to locate, pick, and track inventory and orders.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by staging, sorting, and moving products as required.
• Follow all safety procedures, operational guidelines, and company policies while performing daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods for the duration of the shift.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfort with frequent movement, including bending, reaching, and walking throughout the workday.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in picking and packing orders.
• Basic reading skills to interpret order lists, labels, and instructions.
• Basic math skills to verify quantities and ensure correct order fulfillment.
• Experience with inventory handling, order picking, and material handling in a warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with RF scanners for picking and tracking inventory.
• Experience using pallet jacks or similar material handling equipment.
• Previous warehouse or fulfillment center experience (preferred).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• packaging and preparing products for shipment.
• Experience working in a fast-paced fulfillment or distribution environment.
• Comfort using basic warehouse technology and equipment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse fulfillment center operating Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will work on your feet for most of the shift in a fast-paced setting that involves frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The environment includes regular use of RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools, as well as interaction with inventory shelving, packing stations, and shipping areas. You are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace, wearing appropriate work attire suitable for an active warehouse setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Valencia, CA.

The pay range for this position is $17.81 - $17.81/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
