2027 Project Engineering Co-op (Jan - July) (Undergraduate)

AbbVie seeks an undergraduate engineering co-op for a 6-month project engineering role (January–July 2027) at the Worcester, MA bioresearch center. The co-op will manage capital projects involving biologics equipment, facilities, and utilities while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

Responsibilities Manage capital projects throughout lifecycle including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and interdepartmental coordination Develop project scope, cost estimates, capital expenditure requests, and financial defense packages Create user requirements, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and technical specifications for biologics equipment Assist in procurement and generate purchase requisitions for equipment and labor Prepare and deliver periodic project status reports to internal stakeholders Requirements Currently enrolled in Bachelor's program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Enrolled in university for at least one semester after co-op completion Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated planning and organizational abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Exposure to biopharmaceutical manufacturing or biologics equipment operation (preferred)
