Pay From $20.00 per hour Job Description Position: Optician / Ophthalmic Tech / Lab Tech Location: Hyde Park, IL Pay: starting at $20 hourly, based on experience Office Hours: M-F, 8:30-6:30pm Who we are looking for Someone with a passion for customer service and beautiful eyewear with a desire to learn and grow! Roles and Responsibilities Deliver a captivating and memorable customer experience to all of our patients Provide best‑in‑class medical eye exams, using latest technology and skill Consult in frame selection for patients to help them find the best eyewear to meet their needs Perform adjustments and repairs when necessary Process contact lens/spectacle orders and review reports to monitor status daily Verify glasses and notify patients for dispensing Verify medical vision insurance coverage and price exams and materials for patients Perform quality checks on lenses Cross‑train in the finishing lab to be able to perform the following functions: Lining lens, tracing frame, edging, mounting, checking trays, performing necessary repairs/adjustments Availability to work a flexible schedule and the hours necessary to open and/or close Qualifications Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid vacation Company holidays 401k Employee discount Life insurance Paid time off Job Type Full‑time Experience Optical: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Relocate Chicago, IL 60615: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location In person #J-18808-Ljbffr Village Eye Care Ltd
