Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care

Schedule: Days (7a-7p)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience
• Medical terminology preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with residents and care providers to deliver direct and indirect care.
• Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to support residents with Alzheimer's and dementia.
• Monitor and manage behaviors associated with cognitive impairments.
• Provide skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from various medical conditions.
• Administer IV therapy and wound care as required.
• Assist in the overall assessment and management of geriatric patients.

Compliance / Notes:

• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
